Treharrock, built in 1815 in an elegant and spacious style, is set in 15 acres of its own grounds amongst farmland about 2 miles inland from the historic fishing village of Port Isaac.

The Georgian house, which is furnished with many period features, provides excellent accommodation for up to 20 people. The house has a warm and relaxed atmosphere in keeping with its setting. The accommodation comprises:-

Ground Floor: Entrance Hall, Drawing Room (with piano and open fire), Dining Room, Playroom (with TV / Video / DVD), Study, Large Kitchen (with Aga and electric cooker, microwave, fridge and freezer, washing-up machine and portable Radio / CD player), scullery, pantry and cloakroom.

First Floor: Elegant staircase and landing leading to seven front bedrooms (2 double, 3 twin, 1 with three single beds, 1 single; all rooms with washbasins). A further four bedrooms are located off the rear wing (2 double, 1 twin, 1 single). Bedding and sheets are provided but not towels. Two cots are available with mattresses but no bedding.

Other facilities include two bathrooms and two shower rooms; washing machine; full central heating; basement with table tennis and large billiards table; wireless Internet access.

The house is situated overlooking a private valley surrounded by lawns and sheltered by mature woodland. The garden features a summer house, a stream with ponds, bluebell woods and an all weather tennis court (resurfaced Feb 2005).

Access to Treharrock is via a private (bumpy) drive 1/3 mile long.

Close by is Cornwall's beautiful coastline with picturesque fishing ports (Port Isaac 2 miles), extensive sandy beaches and surfing (Polzeath 5 miles). Golf, sailing and pony trekking are available in the area. There are attractive villages and moorland with an abundance of plant, animal and bird life. Other local attractions include stately homes and gardens, the Eden Project (25 miles) and the towns of Rock, Padstow, Tintagel and Boscastle.

There is an increasingly numerous selection of gourmet restaurants and inns in the area.

Treharrock makes an excellent base from which to explore Cornwall and with its privacy provides a relaxing escape from the outside world.

Bookings for Treharrock operate on a Friday to Friday basis (weekend bookings can be arranged at certain times of year). Electricity and heating are included. A caretaker lives adjacent to the premises. No stag, hen or single sex groups permitted without permission in writing. No pets are permitted. Due to the presence of the ponds and the stream visitors are requested to supervise children in the grounds.
